Adaptive: Technical Team
PSIA/AASI-W ADAPTIVE TECH TEAM
A PSIA/AASI-W Adaptive Tech Team member is typically an instructor who is a great clinician with superb training skills who may want to share his/her expertise with the PSIA/AASI-W membership at large. Becoming a PSIA/AASI-W Adaptive Tech Team member does not necessarily mean that he/she has aspirations to attain examiner status. This person has chosen this path because he/she has the knowledge and skill to lead a group at an educational event. To be considered for the PSIA/AASI-W Adaptive Tech Team, a candidate must:
" Be at least Adaptive Certified Level II and Alpine or AASI Certified Level II or Adaptive Certified Level III.
" Submit a resume to the PSIA/AASI-W Adaptive Committee listing teaching experience, clinic/training facilitator experience, and other professional development.
" Recommended by the PSIA/AASI-W Adaptive Committee.
" Publish a minimum of one article in the Adaptive Section of The Edge.
" Attend the annual Tech Team Training, a two-day process broken down into skiing/riding, presentation skills relating to disability knowledge, technical aspects of adaptive skiing/riding and instructor education. The educator at this level is able to present educational information to anyone who wishes to teach adaptive skiing/riding.
" Conduct a minimum of one continuing education clinic under the oversight of a Senior Adaptive Tech Team Trainer and receive a satisfactory review from that Trainer"

PSIA-W/AASI-W ADAPTIVE IN-HOUSE TRAINERS
A PSIA-W/AASI-W Adaptive in-house trainer is an instructor who is a great clinician and has taken on the role of trainer at their respective adaptive ski schools. Becoming a PSIA-W/AASI-W in-house trainer does not necessarily mean that he/she has aspirations to attain tech team or examiner status. This person has chosen this path because he/she has the knowledge and skill to lead an in-house training group. To be considered for the PSIA/AASI-W in-house trainer a candidate must:
" Be at least Adaptive Certified Level II
" Submit a resume to the PSIA/AASI-W Adaptive Committee listing teaching experience, clinic/training facilitator experience, and other professional development.
" Recommended by the PSIA/AASI-W Adaptive Committee.
" Attend 2 day trainer/ed core training
